Wonderful World of Citrus Essential Oil

Citrus Essential Oils - Vitamin C in a Bottle! Citrus essential oils have been used extensively throughout history for their wonderfully soothing and health-giving properties. Orange trees are first thought to have reached Europe in the 12th century, brought by Portuguese sailors from the East Indies. Neroli Oil, oil of orange blossom, is among the finest of flower essences and is popular in the ingredients of Eau-de-Cologne. Thought to be named after a 16th century princess of Nerola in Italy who used the scent as a perfume for her clothes and rooms. Neroli is still popular today as a soothing, anti-depressant oil to calm anxiety. It is also used to benefit any skin type, stimulating the elimination of old cells and the growth of new ones. Neroli makes a luxurious and relaxing bath oil... perfect for a chilly evening.

With winter coming on, you may want to consider adding more than one uplifting, Citrus Oil to your essential oil collection. Essential oils in the Citrus family include: Bergamot (Citrus Bergamia), Grapefruit (Citrus Paradisi), Lemon (Citrus Limonum), Lime (Citrus Limetta) and Orange (Citrus Auranthium).

Essential oils should never be directly applied to the skin without being diluted first. To use essential oils, add a few drops to your bath water for a scented bath, or add to your favorite body oil or lotion. You can also add a few drops to a diffuser to gently scent your favorite room.

Bath Petals' sparkling Key West Citrus™ is a blend of three citrus essential oils and is a special favorite of many of customers!
